I chose an 11.5-degree driver with an R flex – typically I play the same loft but an S flex. I was shocked at how high, far and straight I hit this. My worries about duck hooks due to the soft flex were quickly alleviated – not once did I snap a drive left all day. Distance was comparable to my reliable Titleist driver.
I also played the new F-MAX One Length offset irons. They’re low profile and shallow, and the undercut is deep, in order to get weight back and the ball airborne. The nickel chrome finish looks great. Lofts get progressively weaker on longer irons, for easier launch and more carry distance. I found them super easy to hit, with a nice look at address. These will be winners with their intended audience.
